The trouble with crack cocaine is its highly addictive nature. One dose is enough to hook you if you don’t have the willpower to resist. Some people who try crack for the first time will proudly claim that they aren’t addicted to it. To prove to themselves that their willpower is strong and the addiction as non-existent, they will do it again and put an end to it once and for all. Its a nice story that doesn’t happen often. When dealing with crack, one dose is all it takes. For comparison, it takes more than one cigarette stick to get hooked on smoking.

If you think quitting cigarettes is easy, it isn’t. I’ve tried four times. The first time was the easiest. I was able to quit smoking the cold turkey way. I was nicotine free for six months. Today, I am regularly sending out smoke signals again. If smoking is bad, crack is much worse.

Once addicted, crack addicts will do anything for crack. Thievery, lying, soliciting, pimping, drug pushing and killing are some of the many things they can do to support their habit. Addicts will sell their own children, their bodies and kill in the name of crack.

To give you a better idea of what to expect, here are a couple of reported incidents relating to crack addicts that you can read. As you read this, I want you to keep in mind that these incidents are tame compared to other incidents that occur even as you read. In reading the articles, you will notice that addicts have no respect at all for anyone including them selves. Crack is their god and they will do what they have to for it.

In this incident, the victim is a woman. She was drinking beer in a local bar when she felt the need to urinate. She went to the toilet and when she came back out, took another swig of beer. The woman awoke in a bedroom. Her purse, and all its contents were stolen. She didn’t know where her truck was and to make matters worse, in the room with her was a man she didn’t know. The man attempted to rape her, but she was able to escape. The police caught up with truck. There were five people in it. In the ensuing investigation, tests revealed that the arrested suspects were drug addicts. These felons were convicted and sentenced to prison. The aftermath for the victim is a big question. Did those people rape her while she was unconscious? If so, how many?

The second article deals with a woman in Chicago who befriends a couple with children. As their friendship grew, she began to suspect, and was able to confirm, that the couple were addicted to drugs. Once when she was in the couples’ house, the mother started a sales pitch. The objects up for sale were the children. Mind you, the mother did this with her children present and was able to hear their being sold off.

I will have to emphasize that crack addicts worship crack as their god. Unlike Allah, Yahweh or Jehovah, crack is a relentless, unforgiving god.
